#13/1 Shatters of hope

The night at the club wasn't maybe as big of a disaster as Kitty thought at the time. She was afraid she was being too slow and always blocking somebody's way. Sandy tried to help as much as she could but it was a busy night and it would've taken a miracle to help Kitty. But instead of just giving up Kitty put on her happy face and kept on smiling at everybody and trying to be as friendly as possible. At times she got so overwhelmed with work she forgot to look around for men that appeared to be something like vampires. She was angry at herself for not asking Nigel more details on how these two vampires supposedly looked alike. But on the other hand Nigel wasn't much into hanging around and having long conversations. Maybe the vampires didn't even show up that night. That's exactly why Kitty desperately needed that job. She had to be around long enough to spot them. She had to find them. What were their names anyway? Reese and Matthew? As soon as Kitty stopped for a moment to think somebody bumped into her and she dropped all the glasses she had been carrying in her hands on the floor shattering completely - and loudly.

Kitty felt like swearing a lot and loud but instead she just got down on her knees and started gathering the pieces of glass together.
- Oh my God, are you okay? Kitty heard Sandy ask slightly above her. Somebody stomped on Kitty's hand and that was the moment she almost felt like breaking down. At least her smile got wiped away that instant.
- Really, don't worry about it. I'll get a broom or something, don't hurt your hands over this. Sandy tried to cheer Kitty up.
- Yeah, right... Kitty said and stopped. But she didn't get up.
- I know it's hard but you really do have a great attitude. I heard Tommy say it. That's good, eh? Who knows he might still keep you around. I mean nobody's like perfect and we do need more people, you know. Sandy kept on consoling Kitty.
- What time is it? How long do I have to just keep strong? Kitty asked. Sandy lift up her hand from Kitty's shoulder where she had placed it during the consoling. She looked at the small watch on her wrist and said:
- A little bit past one. It's gonna get slower  soon. People get tired and go home eventually, right? Sandy laughed a bit and looked around. But as she looked up her eyes got a sight of something that completely changed the expression on her face.
- Oh, no... Sandy said.
- What? Kitty asked and tried to look around to see what Sandy saw. She tried to get up as quick as she could but she stumbled a bit and almost fell on the shatters of glass.
- I was hoping they wouldn't come tonight and scare off all the new comers. Sandy said and stomped her right  foot on the floor.
- Who? Kitty asked and as she got the word out of her mouth she saw two men walking in and slowly passing the dance floor.
