#10/1 Waitress or just waiting?

The next day Kitty typed Up Above into Google and started looking into that matter. As soon as she got some kind of idea where the club was supposed to be she jumped into her car and drove to the city. It took her few hours driving along the busy streets of New York to realize that Up Above wasn't on any street floor but it was  like its name indicated on the top floor of one really tall sky scraper.
- Exclusive, ha? Kitty thought and looked up. Now... How the hell am I supposed to get in there? You don't just walk into those kinds of special clubs. You'd probably need an invitation or some kind of pass or membership to get in. There was no way Kitty could have gotten a ticket in, not even if she used some tricks of her own. She still decided to walk in as close to the building and the top floor as she could, just to see what she was up against. She walked towards the big doors and saw immediately the big expensive looking lobby which was guarded by few bodyguards and a doorman behind a desk. Before Kitty knew what she was supposed to do to get pass them she had already walked in. She headed straight to the elevator doors to see if there was any sign or a map or anything...
- Excuse me ma'am. Kitty heard a man say behind her. She turned around slowly trying to come up with some kind of excuse to get into that elevator but her mind was blank and she just stared at the serious looking doorman.
- Are you here for that job interview? He asked.
- What?
- Are you one of those waitresses applying for the job at the club? He specified. Kitty didn't know what to say so she just nodded. She was hoping he was talking about the club up above all but there could have easily been other clubs in that huge building.
- Right. I'll give Tommy a call. The doorman said and picked up the phone behind his desk. He spoke few words and then hung up.
- Tommy says he can see you in a few minutes. You can go.
- Go?
- To the 42nd floor. They know you're coming.
Kitty nodded again and walked to the elevator. She pushed the button and waited for a while until the doors opened in front of her. She walked in and pushed the button for 42 and held her breath as she waited for the doors to close. She had no idea what she was doing.
