- Kitty, are you sleeping at work again? a woman's voice said as Kitty slowly opened her eyes.
- I'm sorry Jackie, I won't do it again I just haven't... The girl said and sat straight in her beauty salon chair.
- ...Slept well lately. I know, I've heard it before. an older woman obviously named Jackie said: You've been sleeping a bit too often at work honey. I can't have my employees sleeping in chairs or the customers will think this place is going under.
- I promise I won't do this again. Kitty swore.
- I know, that's why you're fired. Jackie said and looked really sorry about it.
- Jackie please. Kitty tried to get yet another chance even though she knew she had had few chances too many from Jackie already.
- I've looked passed a lot of things from you because I think you're great at what you do but you clearly need to get some things sorted out. Just take your time doing what ever you need to do. Maybe you could come back after you don't have the need to sleep during workdays. Jackie said and touched Kitty gently on her shoulder. Kitty almost felt like crying but instead she kept it all inside. After all she had been crying enough lately and right now she felt like she had reached her limit for the day. She just quietly nodded and started clearing her stuff from the table. She stuffed her hair brushes, combs, dryer and other stuff into her big black bag thinking if only she hadn't been running around the city tracking down vampires last night she hadn't been this tired today and slept at work again. It's not like running after those vampires had paid off anyway. Now she just lost more important things in her life.
